Da Round Pin Quad - What a blessing!!

Here’s the story…

Once upon a time, three fins ruled the line-up. They required a lot of tail kick to compensate for their fins being stuck too far on the tail. This extra tail kick causes the board to lose speed. Quads have a faster bottom and are more maneuverable due the fin placement being moved further up. The rear fins are smaller, creating a looser, snappier turning board. Two fins placed on the rail give you mega-bite to prevent spin-out. The round pintail is better than bat or swallow tails for the following reasons:

² rolls into turns quicker

² smoother feel on the wave

² hangs in the curl better when going fast

My boards also have softer, tucked rails, making them smooth and maneuverable to free-up my super fast bottom. The full concave transitions to double concave with a speed spot between your feet, to a slight “V” in the tail. This tried and true bottom with a unique fin placement and special fin angle is unlike any other manufacturer in the industry… secret formula.

The typical wide swallow tail is flintstone. The straight bottom with the straight tail lines and the hard rails, makes a fish dig the rails and spins out..

The round pin rolls into turns much quicker, holds in better when you're going faster and has a much nicer feeling.

Wider boards need softer rails so they are smoother and do not dig rails. The fins are moved up and set in further than industry standards to make this board ride like a 6'-1", and goes rail to rail smoother and quicker.

I can make this board any size you desire even make this a 6.10". This board has quite a few different designs than other manufactures. It has more nose kick so it doesn't pearl. There is a speed spot between your feet with double concave so it is faster. Its got softer rails with a slight chime in it. "Magic" so I have been told! The fins are moved up to make this board turn like its a 7.2" This is the ultimate easy nose rider!

I have a great combination for Ya! Better flotation so you can catch waves easier. The fins are moved up further than other manufactures so the board turns like a 7.1". You can create your own decals on your computer and send them to me and I can glass them on to the board.

I can make this board any size necessary. They have more nose kick so they don't pearl; and are hella fast to make sections easier. The round pin tail is 3 times better than a squash or swallow tail. This board rolls around into turns quicker, smoother, and hangs in better when going fast.

This board can be made for surfers of any weight and is ridden with an 9" single fin for surfers around 160 - 189 lbs and a 10" single fin for surfers 190 lbs and more.

The secret is in the bottom of these boards. A true single in a double, not a double inside a single concave. There is a slight V in the last 11 inches of the tail. This formula smoothes out the bouncy feel in choppier waves and makes for a fast board, necessary for busting (and landing) big airs.

This is a blown up shortboard for bigger or heavier surfers who want to go off!

This board catches waves and is very responsive. The Big Short Board comes in a round pin to roll into turns earlier and turns faster than a squash. The rails are tucked under which makes this board more maneuverable and it will not catch a rail or bog down.

Board can be made in sizes you like up to 9 Foot 24-1/2 inches wide and 4 inches thick for a 275 lb. surfer.

Guns and Semi Guns are Joe's area of expertise. Having shaped with the Master Dick Brewer for 12 years, is it any wonder why?

Riding these boards in bigger surf is what it is all about!

The difference here is that these boards ride smaller than conventional guns because Joe shapes very soft rails into the catch zone and puts an accelerator right under your feet at the sweet spot. There is a slight concave in the nose and an extremely slight double barrel concave through the belly of the board. The secret to making these gunnier boards turn is moving the fins up further.

When you have shaped and ridden as many boards as Joe has , you figure a few important things out along the way. With proper rocker and fin placement you can make a bigger and thicker board fast and loose. That puts you right where you want to be.

What makes this longboard high performance?

How about 5-5/8 inch nose kick and 4 inches of tail kick. Joe puts an accelerator between your feet. There is a slight V and double barrel concave. Side fins are located at 17 inches not 15 inches which makes this board much more maneuverable.

This board should be ridden with an 8 inch single fin in head high or smaller surf. You will like the soft rails through the catch zone making the board feel more loose.

Getting up on the nose of one of these puppies will stoke you out, not spin you out! This noserider has great holding power.

The Da Kine Noserider features a slight V and double barrel concave. It has an accelerator in the punch zone.

The great thing is they noseride at any size from 8 foot to 12 foot lengths.

Fun noserider that rips!!!

The Dominator is not only a super paddler, but it is also very quick turning. The removable side fins are located at 18 inches off the tail if you want to ride it as a tri-fin in bigger surf, however, Joe recommends riding it as a single fin in head high and smaller surf for added turniness. This board has an accelerator.

Tired of riding a spunj? Try the Rocket Boogie. This board flies! It has a fast bottom, double concave in the punch zone for quick acceleration. The Rocket Boogie has heaps of drive that enables you to get around long whitewater sections. It also has more speed to do off the lips and gets HUGE airs and el rollos. Oh yeah, it's still plenty loose to do 360's or whatever. Slash and Burn!

Longboard Design Information:

This board is faster, turns tighter, paddles better and takes late drops better than all other boards!

Here's Why:

My fin boxes are moved up 2 inches further off the tail than all other boards, allowing for quicker, tighter turns.

I suggest using an 8 ½ inch single moved up in the box for surf up to head high. This makes the board more maneuverable and easy to turn from anywhere on the board. Try it on your board and see.

When using side-bite fins, remove the larger fin and replace with a 7 inch center fin - it works the best.

No gloss on the board = a faster, lighter, and more maneuverable board.

The extra soft rails and round pintail allows for quicker, tighter, smoother turns.

The bottom has a concave that flows into double concave with a "Speed Spot" between your feet. This unique design is what makes my board so much faster.

A little more nose kick allows for late drops. No catch, no pearl.

Exceeding industry standards, my boards have a 2/3 deck patch for additional strength to prevent deck cave-in.

Finally, the combination of a thicker, lighter XTR epoxy blank increases the boards Paddle Power, maneuverability and speed in small surf.
